BLANK CANVAS COMPETITION

You could have your latest design across the walls of the North's largest Digital, Creative and Marketing recruitment consultancy.

Orchard's newly whitewashed walls are now in need of an injection of colour and creativity, and we'd like you to turn our Head Quarters into your canvas.

What about a brief? Well, that's up to you. Style, colour scheme, and subject will be yours to decide.

Let's see what you've got! We'll consider all entries, no matter your position or experience. The winning design just needs to grab our attention and fit the specifications (see below).

Whether youre picked or not, we'll feature your submitted work on our social media channels to get your work out there.

If your design is selected, here's what you'll win:

• Your design applied to our office walls and interview rooms permanently, where it will be seen by the hundreds of clients and candidates who pass through every year in both Manchester and Leeds.

• Your winning entry shown at the next BLAB event

• A blog post about your design and why we chose it, with great looking photos of the finished product and links to your portfolio and website

• Inclusion of your work in our external marketing

• And just to top it off you'll also win £500

Email your finished illustration or design to alistair@orchard.co.uk

Please read the specifications before submitting work

Specifications:

Artwork specifications: The artwork must be original, and entirely your own work. It will be applied to Orchard's main hallway in it's entirety. However, sections of the finished illustration will also be reproduced on shorter walls around the offices; as such an abstract design, landscape or similar approach may work better than an illustration with vital elements that run throughout the entire piece.

File specifications: Your finished artwork should ideally be saved as a vector file, or image file large enough to print at 264cm high and 580cm wide at 300 dpi. If the file is too large to send in an email, we can also accept file transfers from the likes of Dropbox and WeTransfer. Artwork that is too small to print at the aforementioned size cannot be accepted. Please include your name and contact details on your submission. We have provided a blank Illustrator file for you to download and work on here should you choose to use Illustrator.

Deadlines: We are accepting submissions from 17th February 2014 onwards. The deadline for submissions is midnight on Monday 17th March 2014. The winner will be announced after being decided by Orchard in due course. The winning artwork will be printed on vinyl and applied to our walls shortly after.

Marketing: Competition entries may be published on various social media platforms during and after the competition, entrants will be credited alongside any posts containing their entry.
