Not only have they had more entries than ever before in 2010, but the standard was higher than ever before. The judges have applied their usual rigour. In fact they seem to be getting stricter.

This means that being shortlisted for Big Chip means a great deal.

It also means that in two categories only one entry has been shortlisted, and in one category no entries have been shortlisted at all (despite there being plenty of entries). Those entries that have been shortlisted all by themselves won't necessariliy win either. In previous years the judges have shortlisted entries in a category and then declined to select a winner (2007 for example).



So, a strict judging round in 2010.

The nominations for the Tasty Website award (which will then be open for popular vote to select a winner) will be announced in the week beginning 26 April 2010.

The winners of the Big Chip New Media Agency award, Anthony Wilson Original Modern Award and Grand Prix will be chosen from the shortlisted entries and announced at the Big Chip Awards ceremony on 10 June.
