Fudge - Digital Competition


Win a two week unpaid placement at award winning digital agency Fudge!

Orchard have combined forces with top digital agency Fudge to launch this exciting competition. Whether you're a creative or a suit it's a great opportunity to showcase your talent. The winner will be handpicked by Fudge and given the opportunity to spend two weeks within the business to show what they can really do.

To enter, all you need to do is send us your response to the brief, set by Fudge, which is detailed below. Entries should be submitted no later than Friday 01 October 2010.



Introduction

We’d like you to pick a brand, any brand that means something to you. It could be your favourite sports brand, electronics manufacturer or high street shop. But, there’s a catch. We want you to tell us why you picked that brand. You could pick an obvious choice, and that’s fine, but we want to know why you made that decision.

The Project

We’d like you to develop a campaign for your selected brand that allows your client to engage an audience through social media. It can focus on a particular product or promotion, or can simply aim to raise brand awareness, it’s up to you.

First and foremost, think of an idea or concept that will engage people with your brand. It needs to be something that potentially delivers a multi channel experience – we’re asking you to specifically think about how you could harness social media, but could the concept be applied across the board (TV, print media, online, mobile etc)?

Your campaign could be based around a Facebook Graph application, a site that integrates Twitter feeds or location based data, user generated content or a completely unique social experience that you’ve invented yourself! You don’t need to know how to build it, but you do need to give people a reason to use it and to tell people about it.

You’ll need to identify your brand’s target demographic and pick a social channel that you think best suits that demographic. We don’t expect a one-size-fits-all idea. Figure out who you’re trying to appeal to and come up with an idea that’ll enhance their online experience.

Deliverables

Campaign overview — In a page (or less) get us excited about your campaign. Who the brand is, why you picked them, what the concept is, who it is aimed at, and why you think it’s so good.

Campaign visuals — Show us what the campaign looks like. You can submit a general look and feel, home page design, how the campaign looks on an iPad, whatever you feel best represents how your consumer will engage with the campaign.
