Northwest Vision and Media: Marketing Placement Opportunity in the Games Industry

Northwest Vision and Media have launched an exciting new placement-based training and development scheme open to Marketing / Digital Communications graduates in the North West of England.

Marketing Placement Opportunity in the Games Industry

In an exciting new placement-based training and development scheme, Northwest Vision and Media are inviting graduates from Marketing/Digital Communications courses in the Northwest to apply for the opportunity to work alongside one of the regions top emerging Games companies.

The Games industry in the Northwest is one of the fastest growing in the region with many developers, starting out at grassroots level, now developing products for an international market. As such, this placement scheme provides a unique opportunity for a Marketing graduate to contribute to the tactical marketing plan of a growing company within a growing industry.

There are 8 placement opportunities available: 8 successful candidates will each be paired with one of 8 Games companies based in the Northwest for a paid 6-month placement beginning in September 2009.

Other benefits that you can expect as part of the scheme include;

• An induction event introducing you to the Games industry in the Northwest*
• Mentoring throughout the placement from an experienced industry professional
• Access to a training subsidy for relevant training during the placement

*Prior knowledge of the Games industry is not required. This induction event will provide you with an overview of the industry; it is your knowledge of marketing strategy and your commitment to developing business in the Northwest that your application will be assessed on.
