Cat Lewis - Founder and CEO of Nine Lives

Cat has worked as an Executive Producer since 2002, devising and making factual programmes for all the major broadcasters. She has won Royal Television Society awards both as an Executive Producer and as a Producer. Cat set up Nine Lives Media in September 2007 and is the company's owner, CEO and Joint Creative Director.

Nine Lives has become the largest factual independent production company in the North West, making programmes for the BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Channel 5, Sky One, Living, TLC (in the USA), C&I Network and Bio.

The company recently won a major output deal with Channel 4 to make eight episodes for the channel's highly acclaimed current affairs series Dispatches. Nine Lives is already a major supplier to the BBC's flagship series Panorama. The Manchester based independent made Small Teen Big World, the highest ever rated single documentary for BBC Three, the channel aimed at 16-35 year olds, and one of the highest ever rating documentaries shown on the BIO channel.

Cat is the founder and chair of the Indie Club, a networking group for programme makers based in the North, is the PACT Council representative of independents in the English Regions and is on the RTS Committee in the North West.
