With social networks taking over from web based email as the first destination for many when they go online, this phenomenon is here to stay.
But, what does this mean for you as a professional? What impact is it already having on your business life? What should you be doing? What should you be aware of? How do you manage your own personal brand online?
In this event Michael Stewart will explore what we mean by social networks. He will also explore how they are changing our behaviour, the way we interact and the way we build business relationships.
By examining some of the advantages that social technologies can bring, as well as highlighting some of the pitfalls for professional business people, this session will put the hype and hysteria into perspective.
Michael Stewart is Head of Digital at The Black Hole in Leeds, a brand response agency. Michael has been involved in digital media and online marketing since 1997.
As Interactive Communications Director to JDA, at the time one of the UK's largest independent marketing agencies, Michael set up the company's digital division. Over the years he has worked on a wide range of brands including Asda, HBOS, British Energy, Royal & Sun Alliance, and PC World Business.
