Creative Industries Networking Group (CING)

CING members include fine artists, designers, writers, musicians, web developers, architects, PR consultants, TV producers, advertising consultants etc. Many members are successful entrprenuers and they all meet up to share information about the industry, develop new contacts, support each other and above all have a good time.

CING get together every first Monday of the month to have a drink or a meal in a City Centre Venue. They also run a quarterly CCC ( CING Coffee Club) for new creative businesses or members thinking about start their own creative business.

This month the event will be held at:

CUBE Gallery
113-115 Portland Street
Manchester

The event will take place in the gallery space in the basement.

This month we have shifted both the regular date and our regular venue in order to incorporate the launch of what we hope you will agree is a great opportunity for everyone working in and around the creative industries.

This month our meetup will be on Monday 12th April from 6pm, and will take place at the CUBE Gallery on Portland Street.

We will be welcoming the University of Salford Business School to our event to give a short overview of their new Innovation Bazaar programme which has been described as an open innovation marketplace that will seek to link talented people with ideas, to those organisations and investors with the knowledge and resources to develop this talent and these ideas into market ready products or services.

We will also have a brief presentation from someone who has been through this development process and is able to share their insights of how to take an idea through to worldwide success. This experience will be provided by Barbara Hastings-Asatourian, founder of Contraception Education and the creator of Contraception the Board Game. This original idea for a new way to teach children about sexual health has now been developed into a range of different formats and translated into a number of different languages to be sold around the world.

As ever there will be plenty of opportunity to network in the usual relaxed and informal CING style and to chat with your fellow creatives. For more details about the event and the Innovation Bazaar itself go to the event page, where you can also register to attend. There are limited places for this event so get registered as soon as you can to avoid disappointment.
