Hands on Blogging with Monica Taylor

This highly practical session gets into the nitty gritty of blogging.

Wednesday 7th March, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Fabric
Church Bank House
Church Bank
Bradford
BD1 4DY

This follows on from our 'So you want to start a blog?' presentation. If you already know you want to start a blog and have decided what it's about and which platform you'll be using then this session is for you.

The course leader will take you through signing up and setting up your blog from scratch, step by step. As a group we'll work through customising the look of your blog and post your first blog post / s including images and text. We'll also talk about commenting and responding to comments as your blog grows.

And finally we'll look at how you get the word out about your new blog. At the end of the workshop you'll go home with your blog set up and read for you to start adding posts too.
This is a hands on session so you will need to bring a laptop with you in order to build your blog on the night. You'll also need access to you email (if you're borrowing a computer).
The session is run by Monica Tailor from kilo75. Monica is a digital marketeer who has been helping clients in digital for over 15 years. She also runs Leeds Social Media Surgeries which help to advise community groups on blogging and social media. And finally Monica is the Families Editor at The Culture Vulture blog.

The price is £15 per session though some concessions are available on application for people who are unemployed or in receipt of benefits. If you would prefer to pay by cheque, please make it payable to Fabric and post to Fabric, Louise Miller, Ground Floor, Church Bank House, Bradford, BD1 4DY. Light refreshments will be provided.
