Orchard's extensive client base includes cutting edge digital and creative agencies as well as Blue Chip corporates across the North of England who offer some of the most attractive long and short term positions within the industry. 

However, when we say that we only take the best, we're serious. If you're looking for freelance work, we insist on a minimum of three years commercial experience in your chosen field, and the completion of a competency test in your chosen software packages. In return, we guarantee that all contracts are paid weekly within three working days. 

For permanent candidates, we require you to have the kind of experience which will allow you to meet all of the demands and duties of each particular vacancy.

We promise not to waste your time by calling you up to offer you unsuitable jobs. The first time you come in to meet us, we'll listen to your requirements and meet them to the best of our ability. We make sure to contact you before submitting your details to potential employers to ensure that the position is suitable and of interest (and, if you're Freelance, to check that it fits in with your diary). If, for whatever reason, it isn't, you're under no obligation to continue.

We'll talk to you to see what you want out of an agency. We won't just send your CV to everyone like some recruiters.

If you're a Creative, we expect you to have excellent skills in InDesign or Quark, Photoshop and Illustrator. For Designers, a strong portfolio of design solutions is essential, as well as a strong conceptual background in a range of media. 

If you specialise in working in Digital, we expect you to be able to provide us with a selection of commercial URLs as well as demonstrate skills in HTML, CSS, Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop and Illustrator. 

Web developers must demonstrate a proven track record using .Net SQL, MySQL, PHP, PSPX and On Rails. 

If you're a Marketing professional, our clients usually come to us requiring candidates with a minimum of 12 months commercial experience. Therefore we'll need you to demonstrate that you have an in-depth knowledge of marketing techniques.
