Here's one for fans of typography and retro gaming.
Typoroids, a game developed by hippopotam studios, takes the Asteroids game mechanic and applies it to destroying letters instead.
Just like the original, as a letter is destroyed smaller and more frequent.
Our own Rick has written a blog on the new design apps that are giving Photoshop a run for their money.
Sketch, in particular, is challenging Photoshop as the go-to app for mobile and UX designers. So will web designers stick to the old heavyweight or go for a new light-weight contender?
This week a document from nearly sixty years ago has been making rounds online. It's one of many Disney documents which first reemerged in 2013, but there's no denying the charm and complexity of this hand-drawn plan, which Disney still closely follows (minus an entire world of digital)

Writing a CV is a daunting task, particularly if it's been years since you last put one together.
To spare you the agony of staring at a blank page, here's a lovely flowchart to refine your approach.
If you'd rather start with a template, take a look at our blog with 5 CV tools for great looking CVs.
Maybe "lies" is a little strong! We're all guilty of softening the truth in our work lives, and designers are no different.
I loved these 20 classic lies so had to share the laughs, particularly the one about how "you're just uploading the files now". Ultimately though, no matter how truthful you are, your work will speak for itself!
New tools threaten Photoshop as the sole tool for Web Designers
Adobe have announced a slew of new features for its signature platform, in a race to support these new complexities.
The new features announced this week include linked assets across Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, artboards, and an iOS companion app for instant mobile testing. These features have been introduced to make web designing easier.
Another reason that these features have been announced might be to squash a looming problem with Photoshop. It was originally introduced to manipulate photos, and that's it. Now it was being used to design complex websites, and other software was appearing to do just that, from the ground up.
In 2012, a beta for Sketch appeared, an app that shared many of the same mechanics as Photoshop, but it was built specifically for creating website components, rather than manipulating photos.
Sketch had all the features that Adobe has been boasting about this week, built in.
Sketch hasn't become the new Photoshop yet. There's a lack of support for Windows, there's the daunting prospect of adopting a new platform, and, of course, 'Photoshopped' is the de facto term for graphic design. It's embedded in our language!
There's no reason that web designers can't use both tools. Just like with web development, learning new skills is all part of the job, but that brings complications of its own.
Now there are serious new contenders for web designers. So, stick with what you know or use a less familiar tool which is streamlined for your process?
Web designers, what are you thoughts? Will you be making the move?

Type, share and print your own words and sentences using thousands of letters from the books, posters and maps created over more than six centuries. Six centuries!
As well as being visually interesting, once you've typed out a word, you can click on a specific letter to find out exactly where and when it came from. A bit of fun with an added history lesson!
And if you like this, try 'Type to Design', which does the same thing, but pulls typography from Instagram instead.
Rock Football shirts
What if rock bands had their own football colours? It's a strange concept at first, but I'm glad someone's taken the time to bring the idea to life.
They're the creation of Spanish website lacasaca.com, who blog about design in football. A lot of thought has gone into conceptualising the transition to football shirt, even down to a track-listing on the inside collar.
They're not for sale, which is a shame because the more I look, the more I'm partial to a 'London Calling' footy shirt.
It's safe to say that this week has been all about Apple. My newsfeed has been clogged with fallout from the WWDC, including news that Apple have dropped Helvetica Neue for their own creation - 'San Francisco'.
To my eye, they're not entirely dissimilar, but I'm an Android man for the moment at least).
If you've got a keen eye for typographic detail, take this testand let me know if you can tell the difference!
The 2016 Presidential Candidates' logos
The UK election might be over, but the Americans are already gearing up for theirs next year. Their political history doesn't span quite as far back as ours (you can read more about that on another Orchard blog),but arguably their branding is more interesting.
There's a tongue-in-cheek round up of all the new logos by designer Chris Stout-Hazard here

The most creative business cards we've seen, printed on anything BUT card.
If you're a regular at networking events, you'll no doubt have a drawer full of business cards, most of them you've never looked at properly.
That's because in the digital age, the first way to get in contact with someone new is through the internet. It's faster, it's better organised, and it doesn't need a rolodex.
And yet, though for years the internet has been threatening to eradicate printing all together, newspapers and books have survived. The internet can't match the enjoyment of a physical object.
So what better way to emphasise the unmatched experience of an object in your hands than by mixing up the medium.
So, here's our favourite non-card-business-cards, which look like a joy keep hold of. Hopefully these will inspire a few of you to think outside the box before your next networking event!
